Junior Day Camp

Each June, First Baptist Church also offers a day camp to preschool and lower elementary children.  Campers will experience God in a real way while exploring His creation and learning about His great love for His children

Junior Day Camp

Day CampOvernight Camp

Each year in June, First Baptist Church hosts a 3 day, 2 night church camp for elementary and junior high students at the beautiful Twin Lakes Bible Camp near Manson, Iowa.  The camp is led and staffed by First Baptist Church members who have a heart for children and desire to see each grow in their relationship with Christ Jesus.

The focus of the camp is worship and teaching from God’s Word all while encouraging campers to grow in their dependency on Christ and to find their identity in Him.  With 5 separate teaching sessions, campers are challenged through the message, transformed through worship, and left in awe of Christ the Savior of the world.

High School BYF

High School BYF meets at the church on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00.  The evening starts with a meal for the kids and leaders together, prepared or provided by someone in the church.  This is followed by a time of fun and games, ending with a Bible lesson, small group discussion, and prayer. There any many fun and meaningful get-togethers throughout the year.  Historically, this group has participated in summer pool parties, bonfires, volleyball tournaments, Christmas caroling, mission trips to South Dakota and Omaha, and cookie and toy deliveries to the needy. Middle and High School Sunday School

There are 2 groups that meet on Sunday morning for anyone age 6th grade through 12th grade. Both groups meet in the Senior High room, downstairs at the church.

The first class meets at 9:00 during the Traditional Church Service and is led by Jim and Janet Swensen. They have used many David Jeremiah series and will start a new one in January 2018.  They also study a book, Conversations with Jesus, which looks at specific Bible verses and how it guides us to live our lives according to Jesus.

The second Sunday School class for this age group meets at 10:30 during the Contemporary Church service and is led by Erin and Kirk Anderson and Jim and Dixie Nelson.  This group was formed late 2017.
